Our desire is to bring westerners and islanders together in complete mutuality and respect - where both can benefit from the other's friendship, experiences and life stories.
Koh Samui is a very remote place (even from the mainland itself) and the islanders consider themselves to be very different from mainland Thais by referring to themselves as; 'chao samui' which means 'Samui folk'. And it's this very remoteness that makes them so excessively curious of outsiders who visit their shores. They really do love to meet and chatter with the fair skinned, big-nosed 'falang'and will ask endless questions of what life is like in the outside world. They especially love falang children, and possess patience and love in equal abundance and consider it a privilege to play and laugh with your youngsters for hours without end. They really are a very different kind of people - and in all the nicest possible ways.
And so, our overseas' friends, if you are coming here for the first time we promise you will encounter the old Thailand of years gone by - where it's customs and traditions still exist - and we want to bring you those experiences at prices that won't break your wallet. Then you can spend the extra cash on the many low cost services available here.
Why not come soon, for the most amazing holiday of your life - your welcome is 100% assured - after all - Koh Samui really is the Isle of Smiles - look below!
