Lose Fat on Vacation?
. . . you must be kidding right? Wrong!

Good wholesome fresh food goes rotten within days - if it doesn't, then it isn't fresh.

So how does it work - this Stone Age diet?  When one changes a lifetime western orientated diet - whilst on a prolonged island sojourne, your immune system will dramatically increase it's antioxident levels. This in turn increases your internal metobolic rate - the rate which excess fat is burned up. This is what starts the relatively slow process of shedding that extra blubber - the longer you can keep it up - the more fat you will lose.

Notice that we don't say 'lose weight' - the emphasis is on losing fat - not weight. Why is this?  Good antioxident levels also trigger activity in your muscles - and they get bigger (and denser) as a result. And because muscle mass weighs MORE than fat mass - judging progress by weight alone will not give you a fair indication of the real progress you are making. Even if you weighed heavier BUT your whole body was toned and in balance - you would not feel that extra weight (caused by the new density of the muscles) because your muscles will be supporting themselves - and not excess blubber.

Also, if your muscles are strengthened you can walk further without resting - this obviously increases your metolbolic rate even further - and sheds weight even faster. Swimming and shopping can now become the same thing - something you enjoy doing because you have the strength and stamina to do them without effort.

If you had loads-a-money and went to a Western health farm for a few weeks and not only paid the earth but allowed yourself to be treated like a sickly patient and be regimentalised, fed raw carrot juice for every meal and put on a treadmill every day - of course, you would lose weight but at what cost? What inconvenience! And frankly, for there is no other word for it; What a palaver! Not even a cheap tropical island holiday thrown in? So why NOT spend your hard-earned cash here - this whole island is a health farm - and food costs next to nothing.

Here you can have a Monster Lobster for the price of a hamburger back home. But unlike processed foods of all kinds this little baby was netted about two hours ago!

Yet we cannot be responsible if, at the end of your vacation, you are forced to buy some new clothes here (beautiful and especially cheeeep) because not only will you feel a million dollars better - but you'll also be about two sizes smaller!

And when you finally get back home you can genuinely claim to be an expert on real Thai food - the slimmer's dream food. If you get hold of a couple or three menus for Thai take-aways or home delivery - you can then still continue eating the healthy food you discovered on vacation. This would be a smart move and a pre-emptive strike against re-entering the processed industrial food chain and it will help you to keep what you have lost - if you know what we mean!  Or you can go back to your old Western diet and so have another really good excuse to come again next year!

And you must remember that the islanders you do make friends with WILL want you to come back - because that is what farangs literally have to promise them on their departure date - otherwise they won't let you go to the airport!
